Do falling stock markets have you down today? Remember Jesus' lesson: "Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and decay destroy, and thieves break in and steal. But store up treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor decay destroys, nor thieves break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there also will your heart be" (Matthew 6:19-21).

The Baptism of Christ (c. 1475) by Andrea Verrocchio and Leonardo da Vinci January 1, 2022
Dear family, Blessings to you as we enter our new year, 2022. We ask for the Mother of God's intercession in prayer to God for the blessing of our activities in the new year. The Church begins the year by honoring our Blessed Mother as open to the movement of the Holy Spirit in her life in bringing us the Savior of the world. Since January 1 is also the World Day of Peace, we also pray that Mary our Mother may move all world leaders to peace in their relationships with other leaders. Further, we cannot forget to ask the Lord, with Mary's intercession, to grant peace in our homes and all our interactions with others. I pray today that the Lord grants each of us peace in 2022. Fr. "If God is for us, who can be against us?" (Rom 8:31)
Through the intercession of Our Lady of Guadalupe, we have been protected by God through this virus epidemic. We can withstand the impact of any storm in our lives. God is with us. |
